Dear Valued Customer, The deteriorating freight rate levels in the Asia to Europe trades have reached a position that is no longer commercially viable. To enable NYK to continue offering a quality liner service, it is essential for us to increase our rates from April 2009. Therefore, we are announcing a structural revenue recovery programme. The first stage of this is to increase our rates from Asia to all European destinations by US$ 300 per TEU as of 1st April 2009.
