Delhaize optimizes its supply chain with the scheduling and collaboration functionality of the RedPrairie Transportation Management platform. Five Delhaize distribution centers (DCs) will use the platform to manage inbound deliveries more efficiently and optimize dock usage. Approximately 1,500 suppliers will plan their deliveries using the online collaboration portal. The five DCs serve 775 points of sale in Belgium. The solution is planned to be operational by mid 2009.
